Do I need hardware to use Oenova?

No special hardware required. You can scan QR codes with any smartphone camera. We generate printable QR labels you can stick on pallets. Standard A4 or label-printer formats both work.

How does the multi-location sync work?

Inventory updates in real time across all your locations, including multi-site shipping and field order dispatch. When a pallet is scanned at your offsite storage or a bonded warehouse, your dashboard updates instantly. All locations share the same live inventory pool.

Is Oenova compliant for HACCP requirements?

What happens to my data if I cancel?

How to Store Wine Without a Wine Fridge

Most people don't own a wine fridge, and most wine doesn't need one. If you're drinking bottles within a year or two of buying them, a thoughtfully chosen spot in an ordinary home gets you 90 percent of what a wine fridge offers, for free.

What actually damages wine (the real enemies)

Heat, especially fluctuating heat. The single biggest threat. Consistent 18°C beats fluctuating 12-22°C, covered in depth in our wine storage temperature guide.
Direct sunlight and strong light. UV breaks down wine compounds and causes 'lightstruck' off-flavors, especially in clear or lightly tinted bottles.
Vibration. Constant movement (on top of a fridge, near a washing machine) disturbs the slow chemical development wine needs.
Dryness. Very low humidity can dry out corks over years, though this matters far more for decade-long aging than for wine you'll drink within a couple of years.

The best spot in a normal home

An interior closet, away from exterior walls. Interior spaces stay more temperature-stable than anywhere touching the outside of the house.
Under stairs or in a basement corner. Naturally cooler and darker than living spaces, the closest thing most homes have to a proper cellar.
Lying down, if the closure is natural cork. Keeps the cork in contact with wine so it doesn't dry and let air in. Irrelevant for screwcap, which can stand upright fine.
Never the kitchen. The warmest, most temperature-variable room in most houses, right next to the oven and the window. The worst common choice, despite being the most common one.

What you're giving up without a fridge

Precision, mostly. A wine fridge holds a rock-steady 12-14°C indefinitely, ideal for wines meant to age for a decade or more. A good closet keeps most wine perfectly enjoyable for the one-to-three-year window most bottles are actually consumed in. The gap only matters for genuine long-term cellaring.

When it's worth buying one

If you're holding wine longer than three years, if your home runs hot in summer with no cool interior spot, or if your collection has grown past what a stable closet can hold, a wine fridge stops being a luxury and starts paying for itself in protected bottles.
